Bachelor & Master Theses

Students who wish to write their bachelor or master thesis at our chair are requested to register via e-mail to Prof. Nikolaus Seitz (seitz@bwl.lmu.de) until the next scheduled application deadline announced below. Please refer to the respective examination office to confirm your eligibility beforehand. An overview of possible topics can be found here:

Registration

All students are requested to apply via email to Prof. Nikolaus Seitz (seitz@bwl.lmu.de) first.

Students majoring in business administraton

Registration is a two-step process:

  1. First, a written application has to be submitted to the ISC. This should include a brief statement that you intend to write your thesis with our chair as well as your topic and be signed by your advisor and yourself. You are welcome to use our template (DOCX, 181 KB) for this step.

  2. After you have received written approval from the ISC, the dissertation must be registered promptly (within 1-2 weeks). Print three copies of the completed registration form and arrange for them to be signed by yourself and your advisor. One copy must be submitted to the Chair's administration office, a second copy must be submitted to the ISC, and a third copy is for your own records. Submitting the registration form to the ISC will start your official completion period. Please use the registration form (DOCX, 183 KB) for this step.

Students majoring in Japanese studies

Please refer to guidelines provided by your examination office for details on thesis registration.

Colloquium

The department offers a colloquium for bachelor and master students who are writing a thesis with our department. For more information, please refer to the colloquium page.
